WRITING

OPTION 2: SOMETIMES IT IS BETTER NOT TO TELL THE TRUTH.
Some people might think that it is better not to tell the truth, but in my opinion you should always tell the truth.
In the first place I personally prefer, most of the time, to tell the truth rather than lying. For example if I see someone doing something bad I will stand up and tell what I saw and not pretend it didn’t happen.
Secondly, sometimes people need to hear the truth because sometimes they can’t or don’t want to see the truth, not willingly.
And if I can help them to see what is really going on I will do it. For example if a friend is being fooled, I just can not tell them! I wouldn’t be better than the person fooling them if I didn’t tell them the truth. Being a true friend is important.  And thirdly, by me being honest towards other people I want them to be honest with me too and not create false illusions.

In conclusion, I think that if you hide a “small truth”, for example liking your friends outfit, doing the choirs at home on time,… it isn’t that big of a deal, but don’t make it a habit!

Short Summary about a video: Columbus Day in the US sees celebration and protest

Columbus Day:

This video is about Columbus Day and they basically talk about what it "means" for the Native American people and Americans. As you may know every second Monday of October, this "holiday" is celebrated (there is no school neither work).

There are two different ideas about it: firstly, that this day shouldn’t be celebrated because under Columbus responsibility more than hundred thousand innocent people were killed.
But there are some other people who thing that this day is part of “American history” and it shouldn’t be banned.

The American government never made a formal apology to the indigenous population there and there are also people who are fighting for this day to be abolished but most Americans don’t want that.

In my opinion, the least the government can do is apologize and that this “holiday” should be abolished out of respect towards the indigenous people. And to finish don’t say that Columbus discovered America because what he did was conquer/invade America and don't refer to indigenous people as "indians" because it can be offensive.
